SALT LAKE CITY (Jan. 23, 2024) – The Utah Foundation today announces the 2024 leadership team for its board of trustees, with Annalisa Holcombe, senior vice president of advancement at Western Governors University, appointed board chair.
Holcombe has 20 years of experience in higher education where she has garnered record-setting philanthropy, expanded strategic partnerships and created community relations programs that provide life-changing support for hundreds of students every year.
“Annalisa is a transformational leader whose character, leadership and devotion to a better Utah will significantly advance the Utah Foundation’s vision of empowering civic engagement,” said Utah Foundation President Shawn Teigen. “We are fortunate to have her at the helm of the board during this time of growth.”
The other officers appointed include:
- Kelly Mendenhall, director of regulatory and pricing at Dominion Energy, vice chair. He previously served as fundraising chair and secretary.
- Benjamin Brown, manager of public affairs at Fidelity Investments, treasurer.
- Carlton Christensen, board chair of the Utah Transit Authority, fundraising chair and secretary. He previously served as chair of the events committee.
The Utah Foundation is grateful for the service of outgoing officers Art Turner, vice president and general manager of Enterprise Holdings, who served as board chair; and Rich Lambert, regional vice president at Wells Fargo, who served as treasurer. “They guided us through the pandemic and the transition to new leadership,” said Teigen. “We thank Art and Rich for their service as officers of the Utah Foundation.”
