Utah Foundation’s research efforts for this year will be mostly limited to the top ten issues listed at left. However, the following list of issues that ranked 11 through 15 provides a snapshot of other topics in which voters expressed interest. Included is the average ranking on a 1-5 scale given by those surveyed.

11. Transportation - mean score: 3.40
12. Immigration - mean score: 3.28
13. Abortion - mean score 3.28
14. Concealed Weapons - mean score 3.04
15. Gay Rights - mean score 2.50

We asked a follow up question on transportation to understand which topics are of greatest concern in the transportation area. Voters are most concerned about development of alternative transportation systems, the length of time to complete new projets, and expanding freeways and highways.

Also worth noting is the follow up question on concealed weapons. Voters expressed the most concern about guns in schools.
