SALT LAKE CITY (Jan. 3, 2025) – The Utah Foundation today announces the 2025 leadership team for its board of trustees, with Kelly Mendenhall, Director of Regulatory and Pricing at Enbridge, appointed as Board Chair.
Mendenhall has worked for Enbridge and its predecessor companies for over 25 years. A native of Utah, he has supported the Utah Foundation as a board member since 2017. He was previously the Utah Foundation’s Vice Chair.
Utah Foundation President Shawn Teigen expressed that “Kelly has been a steadfast supporter since 2017, and we are thrilled to welcome him as our new board chair.” Teigen went on to say that “His leadership will be instrumental as we expand engagement with our board, supporters, and all Utahns as we illuminate independent, nonpartisan public-policy research.”
The Utah Foundation also today announces its other officers:
- Benjamin Brown, Manager of Public Affairs at Fidelity Investments, re-appointed as our Treasurer.
- Carlton Christensen, Board Chair of the Utah Transit Authority, as our Vice Chair. He formerly served as the Utah Foundation’s Secretary and Fundraising Chair.
Mendenhall replaces Annalisa Holcombe, who moved to Washington State after one year as the Utah Foundation Board Chair. Holcombe has 20 years of experience in higher education where she has garnered record-setting philanthropy, expanded strategic partnerships and created community relations programs that provide life-changing support for hundreds of students every year.
Teigen said that “We are grateful to Kelly, Annalisa, and all of our 56 board members and innumerable other supporters.” Utah Foundation’s Board of Trustees provides leadership, topical expertise, and unique insights as it directs and supports operations, research, and outreach.
